What is Management Self-Assessment on Retrenchment about?

One of the most critical issues facing businesses, communities, individuals and organizations in today's global economy is the circumstances and responses surrounding supply chain consolidation and closure of factories. In addition to the loss of jobs, downsizing and closures often have a substantially negative impact on workers' rights.

The Self - Assessment tool on Retrenchment is a tool that measures the level of transparency, objectivity and fairness in factories' retrenchment procedure, policies and practices. To appropriately measure the situation in each factory, the FLA has developed two different management assessment tools:

Management Self-Assessment RETRENCHMENT PREVENTION : this is designed for factories that have not recently been through a Retrenchment process but want to assess whether they are fully prepared for such a situation.
Management Self- Assessment RETRENCHMENT EVALUATION: this is designed for factories that have recently gone through a retrenchment process and want to evaluate the process in order to create transparency for buyers and other stakeholders.
